Climate Change and the Resilience of Filipinos

        A major play into the vulnerability of Filipinos is the countries economic and social structure. A significant portion of the Philippines population particularly on the coastal and rural areas are sectors like agriculture and fisheries. The rapid and sudden environmental shifts such as intense droughts and flooding has led to crop failure, and loss of livelihood leading families into deeper poverty. The predominant reasons for the sudden changes in environment are an effect of both natural and human factors.         Several other factors that worsen the situation is the unsustainable use of land practices, and poorly planned urbanization. These weaken the natural environment and makes communities more prone to flooding, and flash floods.         However, despite all these challenges Filipinos have shown remarkable resilience in the face of climate change. My Intrams Experience

 The intramurals is an event in where student get meaningful opportunities to engage in physical activity, socialize, and develop their athletic skills. The intramurals first started with a parade with each grade level wearing their jerseys with high hopes of coming out on top.  There was a pageant in where all the grade levels showcase their best looking man and woman idk how to explain. In between the pageant we had little breaks in where there would be dance performances and even a band performance (nice one Aces).  The basketball tip-offs and games were fun to watch and people from the stands and even from outside were cheering on. I couldn't watch the dance sport because I was an athlete for football and we had to eat and rest in the meantime, but my friend told me that it was a fun watch and that people were mostly on their phones.
