4th Quarter Thingy

Image
This final quarter of Grade 10 showed me how much ive learned and grown. With each activity testing my perseverance and discipline. I managed to overcome these challenges through my utter mental strength and focus. One thing Ive learned from this school year is perseverance. There were lessons that I didnt understand all too well, setting me back a bit. But, I had no other choice but to move on and continue with my tasks. Discipline helped me finish my school work and stay focus on my studies. My teachers and my classmates also provided strong support and guidance during lessons and activities, listening to each others advice to reach our goals. I still dont know how i feel about the Grade 10 experience,  I feel like I need to improve in a lot of areas and this school year gave me lessons to help me fill the hole and help me improve.

124th High School Day

Image
The 124th Foundation Day of Ilocos Sur National High School celebrated more than one hundred years of education and service to the community. The event reminded students, teachers, and staff of the school’s rich history and the pride they feel as part of a long-standing institution. The celebration included a parade where students, faculty members, and staff came together to express their school spirit. One of the main highlights was the year-level dance presentations. Each group performed with creativity, enthusiasm, and cooperation. Their performances displayed the students’ talents and the strong unity within the school community. The Foundation Day also recognized the school’s long and meaningful history. Since it was established in 1902, Ilocos Sur National High School has helped guide and shape many generations of students. The school has supported learners in their academic growth, social development, and personal improvement. While the celebration was joyful, it also rem...

Valentines

Image
Every year, when Valentine’s Day comes around, everything suddenly feels extra sweet. There are flowers, chocolates, handwritten letters, and cute posts online. People seem more thoughtful, more expressive, and more open about how they feel. Valentines means not saving our kindness for February 14. It’s about checking in on a friend when they’ve been quiet lately. It’s about thanking your parents for the small things they do every day. It’s about telling someone you appreciate them, even when there’s no special occasion. Love doesn’t always have to be dramatic or expensive. Most of the time, it’s found in the simple things. I’ve realized that the moments that stay with us aren’t always the big surprises. They’re the shared laughs, and the quiet support when things get hard. Those are the real Valentine’s Day moments unexpected, genuine, and warm. When we make love part of our everyday actions, it feels more real and less like a performance.

Ilocos Festival

Every year, Ilocos Sur comes alive bursting with color, music, and unity during the Ilocos Sur Festival. The word “Intayon” meaning “let us go” in Ilocano, invites everyone to move forward together as one community. It is a celebration that highlights the province’s rich culture, strong traditions, and shared dreams for progress. One of the most exciting parts of the festival is the street dancing and cultural performances. Participants from different municipalities wear vibrant costumes inspired by local products, history, and folk traditions. The rhythmic beats of drums and gongs fill the streets, creating an atmosphere of joy and pride. Through these performances, the people of Ilocos Sur showcase their creativity and deep connection to their heritage. The festival is also a reminder of the unity among the towns of the province. From the historic streets of Vigan to the coastal and mountain communities, everyone gathers to celebrate not just their differences but also what brin...

IP Man

Image
Every October, the Philippines celebrates National Indigenous Peoples Month, to recognize the country’s rich culture that existed long before colonization and continue to shape our national identity today. This month explores a powerful truth, the future we hope to build is deeply connected to the wisdom, resilience, and traditions of our indigenous people. Indigenous communities across the Philippines, such as the Ifugao, and many others, carry generations of knowledge about living in harmony with nature. Their practices in farming, forest management, and resource use reflect a deep respect for the environment. From the Ifugao Rice Terraces, often called a wonder of the world, to traditional healing and weaving practices, Indigenous culture shows that progress does not always mean modern technology alone, it can also mean preserving balance, sustainability, and community values. As we celebrate National IP Month, we are reminded that cultural diversity is not a barrier to progr...

I went to the Vigan City Fiesta for the Conversion of St. Paul. This Vigan City Fiesta was really something. It made me think that celebrations are not about the things that happen but about the time we spend with other people. The Vigan City Fiesta was at night. It was very bright because of all the carnival lights. I heard people laughing and music playing. I saw families and kids having a lot of fun on the amusement rides at the Vigan City Fiesta. This made me remember that we can be happy when we do things together. The Vigan City Fiesta felt like a break from our lives. It was a time when everyone could just be together and have a time, at the Vigan City Fiesta. As I walked through the food stalls I saw people sitting around tables talking and laughing together and eating street food. People were really enjoying themselves. These little scenes showed what the celebration was really about. The vendors were working hard. Kids were holding colorful balloons. People who did not k...

3rd Quarter Reflection

Image
3rd Quarter Reflection  a. Ive learned a lot of new lessons this quarter. From science discussing about evolution and genome sequencing to Filipino discussing stories like Ang Alaga. b.  The problems I have encountered in the 3rd quarter is a lack of discipline and not understanding some lessons given by my teachers. c. I will address these challenges by hopefully changing the way I study, even if it is small progress and I need to be more attentive, listen and engage more in class. d. Moving on, I will try to become a better version of myself for the next quarter, do better in class, listen attentively to my teachers, do good in quizzes and activities, and hopefully graduate from Grade 10.
