Quarter 2 Reflection



During the second quarter, I learned a lot of valuable things. In science, I learned about the electromagnetic spectrum and mirrors and how they worked and how to graph for the light waves, in research I learned about the parts of a research paper, in ICT I learned how to do HTML coding, in mathematics I learned about circles, the parts of it and how to solve equations, in filipino I learned about myths, sonnets, and stories from the bible, in AP I learned about the economic systems and how they affect communities, in English I improved my writing and reading comprehension. Each of these subjects helped me gain new knowledge and develop practical skills that I can HOPEFULLY use outside of school.

One of the challenges I faced this quarter was being on time in passing my assignments and having a lack of discipline. Some lessons were difficult to understand like math and basic electronics.
 
I'll address these problems by reorganizing my thoughts and work on a study schedule and set specific goals throughout my day, I will continue to develop my discipline even though it will be a tough challenge, as they say slow progress is still progress and I hope to reach my full potential and get high grades in the upcoming quarters.

        A major play into the vulnerability of Filipinos is the countries economic and social structure. A significant portion of the Philippines population particularly on the coastal and rural areas are sectors like agriculture and fisheries. The rapid and sudden environmental shifts such as intense droughts and flooding has led to crop failure, and loss of livelihood leading families into deeper poverty. The predominant reasons for the sudden changes in environment are an effect of both natural and human factors.         Several other factors that worsen the situation is the unsustainable use of land practices, and poorly planned urbanization. First Quarter Resolutions

 Looking back on this first quarter, I struggled a bit with ICT, not paying attention to this class has led to a few setbacks. But the times I do listen to discussions is when I can see that this subject is pretty fun to learn. Listening and concentration is always going to be a key factor in any subject. I will make sure to strive harder and study better this next quarter, listen more attentively, and put more effort into getting better grades.
